You will be picked-up from the Airport and drive to Back to the hotel for check -in. Day 3: Luang Prabang Water Fall and Boat Trip<\/h5>

Visit <\/span>Pak Ou cave<\/span>, <\/span><\/i>crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of <\/span><\/i>Ban Xang Hai<\/span><\/i>, where they make the distillation of local rice wine. <\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span>Then we drive about 30 KM to the beautiful<\/span><\/i> Kuang Si Waterfall<\/span><\/i>,<\/span><\/i> where you can splash around in the turquoise pools, swim and relax or walk along the forest paths. Drive 200 Km. for 4 hours to Vang Vieng. Arrive in Vang Vieng to start the <\/span>Boat Riding Tour at the Nam Song River<\/span> before check-in at the Hotel.<\/span><\/p>

Day 5: Vang Vieng Bike Tour<\/h5>

See a different side of Vang Vieng, a tourist destination in Laos popular for thrillseekers, with this one-day exploration of the surrounding countryside! The tour begins with a pick-up at your hotel before you hop on a bicycle and pedal to the first stop of the day: Nam Song River. Relax in the serene beauty of the river, which stretches all the way to Vientiane, as you bike along it and spot the striking karst rock formations. Explore Phou Kham, a vast cave considered sacred in the country, and see the gorgeous blue-green waters of the hidden lagoon, as well as a bronze reclining Buddha in the main chamber. Make your way to the Blue Lagoon, a must for any travelers, and escape the heat with a dip in its cool waters or by lounging on the green grass all around. At noon, you'll get a chance to re-energize yourself with a delicious picnic lunch and learn about the daily lives of the locals from your English-speaking tour guide. You'll then go through the Blue Lagoon Loop, a 30-kilometer stretch of road that shows you the peaceful scenery and takes you to various villages and farms (make sure to stop by the local shops for some water and snacks to keep you going!) The tour ends once you reach the end of the loop, and you'll get dropped off back at your hotel by 4:00 pm. Then continue with the Van to Meuang Feuang<\/span><\/p>

Day 7: Vientiane - Thakhek <\/h5>

Drive to visit <\/span>The Sikhottabong Stupa and Ancient City site,<\/span> on the east bank of the Mekong south of Thakhek, which is the most important cultural and religious site in south-central Laos. The history of the 16th century \/ 500-year-old stupa is linked across the Mekong River with cultural sites in Thailand. The Ancient City \u2013 remains that you can see of even older buildings \u2013 is important in the cultural background of the area. The region\u2019s main event is the Sikhottabong festival in February when crowds make a pilgrimage to the Stupa from all over Laos. Then visit <\/span>the Great Stone Wall, <\/span>The kilometers-long Kamphaeng Nyak wall in Khammouan is actually a geological phenomenon caused by fissures, but its physical resemblance to a man-made structure has given rise to Lao myths about its origin, according to the Vientiane Times. Next visit <\/span>\u00a0\u201c<\/span><\/p>

\u201d<\/span>, Tham Pa Fa Cave recently came into the news following the discovery of 229 Buddha statues in a previously unexplored cave. In April 2004, a local villager by the name of Mr. Boun Nong entered the small cave opening 15m from ground level. He had noticed bats entering the cave and decided to climb a vine to investigate, with the intention of collecting bats (a local delicacy).\u00a0 The Buddha images are a collection from the Sikhottabong and the Lane Xang eras, with some thought to be of Khmer and Vietnamese origin. Together with the images, palm leaf manuscripts written in ancient Lao script, Lane Xang-style dharma, Lanna-style dharma, Pali dharma, and ancient Khmer scripts are also present. It is unknown how these treasures came to be in the cave. The cave is named after the lake located at the foot of the cliff, Nong Pa Fa (meaning \"Lake of Soft-Shelled Turtle\"). The limestone formations within the cave are quite spectacular and add to the natural beauty of the cave. Continue to <\/span>Thakhek for check-in at the hotel.<\/span><\/p>

Day 8 : Thakhek - Pakse<\/h5>

Drive to Savannakhet, and visit <\/span>That Ing Hang Stupa, <\/span>That Ing Hang Stupa is about nine meters high with beautiful carving and decoration. It\u2019s reported to house a relic of Buddha\u2019s spine. The 16th-century stupa is located in Savannakhet, Central Laos. Savannakhet itself is famous as the birthplace of Laos\u2019 popular former leader, Kaysone Phomvihane. It was also known as a French trading outpost back in colonial times therefore there are a number of vintage French colonial and Sino-Franco buildings in the business districts. Continue driving to Pakse. Next visit <\/span>Heuan Hinh (Stone House)<\/span>, A 1,000-year-old outpost of the Khmer civilization, Heuan Hinh, is one of the most interesting Khmer ruins in Savannakhet. Unfortunately, like many other historical sites, most of the original carvings have been lost and the structure is in poor condition. Heuan Hinh is a shrine built by the ancient Khmer to the glory of their Empire. Drive to Pakse overnight.<\/span><\/p>

Day 9 : Pakse - Bolaven Plateau<\/h5>

Drive To visit villages of \u201cNge, Katu, and La Ven\u201d around Bolaven Plateau. Departing Pakse climb in elevation as you ascend onto the Plateau. The Bolaven Plateau is an area of Volcanic Rock that makes for suburb tea and coffee plantations thriving on the rich soil and the cooler climate. Visit tea and coffee plantations before carrying on to <\/span>Tad Fane Waterfall<\/span>. Tad Fane waterfall sits at an elevation of 1100m and has two stunning cascades dropping 120m off the edge of the plateau. Next visit Coffee Plantation at <\/span>\u201cUni Homestay & Coffee\u201d and <\/span>Then onto <\/span>Tad Yuang Waterfall<\/span> which makes an excellent spot for a swim or a photo. Continue north along the Plateau travelling past <\/span>Paksong<\/span> and into Salavan Province. Stop at the local <\/span>Katu Village<\/span> of Kok Pantai to learn about this ethnic group and their tradition of building their own coffins. End of the program drive to the hotel.<\/span><\/p>

Day 10 : Bolaven Plateau - Muang Khong<\/h5>

Visit Bolaven Plateau, and visit coffee and tea plantation. Continue on a loop of the Plateau, cross over the Mekong bridge, and continue south to the town of Champasak, and the UNESCO world heritage site of Wat Phou. <\/span>\u201cWat Phou\u201d<\/span> ruins the majestic pre-Angkorian 10th: the century temple complex and the boat's namesake. You have time to visit the museum at the ruins site, walk up to the highest temple and take as many photos. After visiting Wat Phu we travel to Si Phan Don (the 4000 Islands). You will stay on the islands of Don Khong.<\/span><\/p>
