Itinerary
Discover Kanchanaburi in one unforgettable day: pay respects at Don-Rak War Cemetery, walk the legendary Bridge on the River Kwai, ride the historic Death Railway with breathtaking river views, and swim in the emerald pools of Erawan’s seven-tier waterfall. Enjoy a local lunch and, if you wish, add a responsible elephant encounter. Hotel pick-up, friendly guide, and plenty of photo moments included.
06:30 – Depart Bangkok
Meet your guide in your hotel lobby and drive west to Kanchanaburi, a province of lush hills, winding rivers, and World War II history.
Don-Rak War Cemetery
Begin at the solemn Don-Rak War Cemetery, located opposite Kanchanaburi Railway Station on Saengchuto Road. This beautifully kept resting place honors 6,982 Australian, Dutch, and British POWs who lost their lives during the construction of the infamous Death Railway.
Bridge on the River Kwai & Death Railway Train Ride
Stroll across the iconic bridge—“Bridge over the River Kwai”—and feel the history beneath your feet. Then board the local train for a scenic ride along surviving sections of the original Death Railway. The train slows at the cliffside viewpoints so you can enjoy sweeping river vistas and capture stunning photos.
Local Lunch
Recharge with a tasty Thai lunch at a riverside/local restaurant (dietary needs can be accommodated—just tell us in advance).
Erawan Waterfall (7 tiers)
Head into Erawan National Park to explore one of Thailand’s most beloved waterfalls. Crystal-clear pools cascade over smooth limestone, forming seven tiers—each with its own character. Swim, sit with the fish nibbling your toes, or simply follow the trail and enjoy the jungle scenery. (Comfortable walking shoes and swimwear recommended.)
(Optional) Elephant Experience
If you wish, continue to a reputable elephant camp to feed and bathe these gentle giants in a natural setting. This optional add-on focuses on responsible, no-ride interactions. Your guide will brief you on welfare guidelines. (Bathing activity is optional and payable on site.)
